Hi Brooke, I really enjoyed your presentation, and you presented it very well. You have chosen an interesting topic, and one that is important in society, as these pages can influence how people choose to vote. A few questions I have are:
1) In your research, did you find any significant differences in how Pauline Hanson’s One Nation Party engages with its supporters compared to other political parties in Australia? How might these differences impact the way users engage to the posts?
2) You mentioned how users band together to support the party and one another, did you notice any patterns in how fans organise themselves in the comments section, such as forming subgroups or coordinating any offline activities?
3) You also spoke about the outsiders jumping in with opposing views. Do disagreements on the party’s posts ever lead to prolonged debates or the formation of opposing communities within the comment sections? If so, how do these dynamics affect the overall tone of the discussion?
