Hi Howard, I thought your video was very informative and easy to understand. I really like your example of Spencer2theWest, I actually went and looked at his YouTube channel after!

    1) You’ve said that Spencer West’s focus is clear in helping the disabled, spreading awareness that people like him need more support in their lives. Does online visibility necessarily translate into real-world inclusion and support for disabled communities? Can online communities provide the same depth of support and belonging as offline communities?

    2) You mention that TikTok is acting as a platform for users to seek support, but what do you think of the algorithmic nature of social media, specifically TikTok, risking exploiting personal struggles (e.g. shared stories of disabilities) for engagement?

    3) According to the reading Queer and trans influential peers: negotiating platforms and community care (Byron & Dejmanee, 2025) , digital communities create and circulate information, resources and care tailored to the needs and experiences of LGBTQ+ peers. Are social media platforms becoming essential spaces for identity formation and support in modern society?

Great presentation. I look forward to hearing your opinions!
